Alisabeth Marsteller

Swim Instructor/Coach

I am a certified swim instructor who brings over 20 years of competitive swim experience and genuine love for the water. My swimming journey began at a young age when my parents put me in swim lessons to be water-safe. From there I joined my local YMCA swim team at age 7 and swam with a USA Swimming club team throughout my teen years, becoming a YMCA National Champion and Ohio State Champion. After graduating, I swam as a Division I swimmer at Princeton University where I was an Ivy League Champion and competed at the 2016 Olympic Trials. I also train as a long-distance swimmer with open water experience where I actively apply the latest world-class swimming techniques and workout methods.

I have experience teaching all levels and ages, from 18 months to competitive teens as well as beginner adults. While I come from an elite background, my motivation for teaching is based on the fundamental idea that proper technique and skill produce a confidence that will serve kids and adults throughout their lives. Whether the goal is to compete or simply swim in the ocean, swimming is an activity from which the most fulfilling aspects of our lives can emerge: health, wellness, confidence, and joy.

From toddlers learning their first float to competitive athletes refining their strokes, I tailor every lesson to meet you exactly where you are in your swimming journey.

Certifications: Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid/CPR, and Water Safety Instructor
